To celebrate the 150th year since the formation of London's underground railway, as series of special trains were run on the 13th and 20th January between Kensington Olympia and Moorgate to commemorate this historic event using some heritage stock sourced from some preserved lines around the country.

Metropolitan Railway electric locomotive No 12 "SARAH SIDDONS" leads a rake of four 'Chesham' coaches, on loan from the Bluebell Railway, the beautifully restored Metropolitan Railway ‘Jubilee’ carriage No. 353 (built 1892), wooden bodied milk van (as the support coach) and tailed by Met Locomotive No. 1 through Euston Square with Train 150 the 18:19 Kensington Olympia to Moorgate. Sunday 20th January 2013

Special dispensation was sought to run the wooden bodied coaches on the network and fire safety equipment had to be disabled while the steam train ran through the various stations on the route.
