To celebrate the 150th year since the formation of London's underground railway, as series of special trains were run on the 13th and 20th January between Kensington Olympia and Moorgate to commemorate this historic event using some heritage stock sourced from some preserved lines around the country.

Metropolitan Locomotive No. 1 leads Train 150 the 19:15 Moorgate to Edgware Road (but due to a points failure extended to Gloucester Road) through Euston Square comprised of Metropolitan Railway milk van No. 4, the beautifully restored Metropolitan Railway ‘Jubilee’ carriage No. 353 (built 1892), 4 Ashbury’s coaches (Nos. 387, 412, 394 and 368 ex Chesham shuttle) on loan from the Bluebell Railway and Metropolitan Electric Locomotive No. 12 “Sarah Siddons”. Sunday 20th January 2013

Special dispensation was sought to run the wooden bodied coaches on the network and fire safety equipment had to be disabled while the steam train ran through the various stations on the route.
