Latvian Railways (Latvijas dzelzceļš) 2ТЭ116-1699 (in Б+A formation) join the Daugavpils to Riga mainline at Krustpils with a train load of grain hoppers from Rēzekne. 10th May 2012.
The 2TE116 (2ТЭ116) is a Russian gauge double unit (A & Б) diesel locomotive manufactured by Luhanskteplovoz and used extensively on heavy freight trains throughout the Soviet Union and its successor independent states.

Lithuanian Railways locomotive fleet has been modernised rapidly over the past few years with the arrival of either new stock or the refurbishment of retained stock inherited from the former-USSR.
Seen here stabled at Radviliškis Depot on a bright but cold autumn morning are Lietuvos Geležinkeliai 2M62M 0673. Tuesday 4th October 2016.
The 2M62's are ex-Soviet twin units (A+B) built between 1976 and 1986 with the M between the classification and the number denoting that they have been rebuilt using new Caterpiller engines.

Seen stored out of use at Tapa Depot are Estonian Railways (Eesti Raudtee) 1566 & 1532. The downturn in frieght traffic has seen a number of the fleet stored at Muuga Depot near Tallinn or here at Tapa. Thursday 30th June 2011
