The main express passenger electric locomotive in Germany is now the class 101 and they can quite literally be seen all over the country hauling express passenger services.

With a rake of České Dráhy stock in tow, DB 101 087 is seen approaching Wittenberge with EC379 the 07:42 Kiel Hbf to Praha hl.n. Friday 20th May 2016.

The DB railway works at Cottbus is host to ECR (Euro Cargo Rail) 247 056 and former DR heavy diesel locomotive and one of an ever decreasing number still owned by the national operator DB 'Ludmilla' 232 908. Saturday 21st May 2016.

The restricted British loading gauge is clear to see with the sister of the UK class 66 looking relatively tiny next to the Soviet built class 232!
