CI605, Nov 4th 1993... The idiots at China Airlines showing again how stupid they are! This time failing to stop their 5 month old 747-400 from stopping at the end of the runway!! The good news is all 396 people survived.

Going back in time now, this was taken between 1992 and 1997. Aircraft went to Classic Airways, but they went bust and sadly this amazing aircraft did little else.. now falling apart at Stansted airport in the UK.

By far the most famous shot I've ever taken, it can be found in numerous books and on the covers of a few. Also found on posters and DVD covers. Even Rolls Royce used it for a company book. Kai Tak airport closed in July 1998 and is sadly missed by aviation nuts worldwide. Sadly like many things that do well poor black & White copies of this photo are now on sale in various tourist locations in Hong Kong.

Some of my photos of the old Kai Tak are on sale around Hong Kong. They are sold in nice wooden frames or on high quality card backing. The one of the CX between the buildings, in Black and White on shit quality backing has nothing to do with me, its was copied off the net and now being sold to tourists.... Anyway guess that's what having something well known brings you....... (please excuse the spelling mistake on the poster... I was not to blame for that)
