This is the ice shelf at the edge of a lake. I used a lens polarizer during high sun to locate a spectrum that was forming and maximize the effect.

Lake ice. After some warming a thin pool of water lay on top of a frozen lake in upstate New York. A bitterly cold wind storm came through and the water was pushed along the lake and froze in ridges. I searched for images within the ridges and this one screamed out at me.
