Amtrak 712 & 1 more locomotive are leaving New Orleans, LA with the westbound Sunset at East Bridge Junction. 4 of us had ridden the Gulf Coast Limited from Mobile, Alabama to New Orleans & we rented a car & found this train as it was leaving town. Southern Railway 4501 passes the historic Southern Railway depot in Bessemer, Alabama, on a ferry move to New Orleans. The old car was brought there for the photographers, but then the Damn green pickup pulled it late & everyone was highly ticked off. Slide scan.

Found this old Rock City Barn south of Vienna, Illinois on highway 45, on our way back to Metropolis & Paducah, Kentucky. Didn't see this one driving up - if it had been a sunny day, it would have been totally back-lit & I would not have gotten any good images at all.
