A more detailed write-up for this shot:

Sunrise of Fire was taken on a short trip to Boulder, Colorado where I actually spent less than 24 hours.

I was told by a lady on the plane to visit a certain restaurant on Flagstaff Rd. I am glad because it happens to be the road that heads out of Boulder straight into the mountains.

This shot was taken early in the morning from a lookout on this road which overlooks Boulder. The beautiful sunrise was so strong, I had to use 3 Singh-Ray filters stacked over my Canon 6D and EF 24-105 f/4L lens.

Shot at 24mm with an aperture of f/18, at ISO 100, for a 10 second exposure. This image has not been edited or touched up in Photoshop, and is actually taken right from the SD card of my camera and uploaded.

The amazing colors and overall exposure of the image was made possible due to the use of the Singh-Ray graduated neutral density filters - I don't leave home without them!
