British Columbia's inside coastal passage north to Alaska, shot at twilight off the Pacific coast somewhere between Haida Gwaii and the Alaska Panhandle. Classic northwest coast country with forest-clad islands and layered blue mountain ranges rising in a wilderness backdrop.

Native Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian peoples originally navigated the extensive waterways and bountiful coastlines of the Inside Passage. They established ancient trade and transportation routes, including seasonal migrations to fishing camps and protected winter sanctuaries that extended to the mainland interior through the many rivers, fiords and inlets along the northwest coast passage.

Black Tusk's ice-encrusted north face (2319 m, 7608 ft) towers over a stunning vista of barren volcanic rock formations and an infinite field of snow-capped mountain peaks, stratovolcanoes, massive icefields, glacier-fed crater lakes, and dense alpine rainforests.

The iconic Tantalus Range (2608 m, 8556 ft) and jagged spine of Serratus Mountain (2326 m, 7632 ft) loom large in the backdrop. Garibaldi Provincial Park, Coast Mountains, British Columbia.

A swift glacier-fed Green River builds to a powerful and erosive surge at Nairn Falls, carving out a narrow channel through a maze of bedrock, ultimately crashing down 60 metres (195 feet) to the canyon floor. The falls are considered a Lil'wat Nation spiritual site in this region of the Pacific Coast Mountains, British Columbia, Canada.
