Blue hour at the pond. The blue color was enhanced by shooting with the white balance set to tungsten. The orange glow is due to the light from the nearby geothermal power plant. From last weekend's @California Photography Workshops trip to the Salton Sea.

One of the highlights for me from my weekend Salton Sea trip was sunrise at Algodones Dunes Wilderness, my first experience with desert sand dunes. The vast expanse of the dunes is unbelievable, and it is remarkable that plants and animals survive in this harsh environment. I was also surprised at how soft and cool the sand was.
