Almost had to pay dearly for ignoring the cardinal rule of computers : back up everything. My backup drive is full, and I've been procrastinating buying a new one. I'll need a big one and they're pricy. I opened Aperture tonight to work on my Salton Sea photos and they were gone! Nearly everything from 2014 gone! I looked everywhere - the trash, iphoto, my old aperture library - nothing - gone - completely gone. Thankfully, before I started crying, I realized I hadn't deleted the CF cards yet, so I was able to retrieve the raw files. I am off to Mac Mall in the morning to get a new backup drive. Won't make this mistake again.
