My first official birding adventure...Birding the Carrizo Plain with the Morro Bay Bird Festival. Fun day trip, lot of owls (yay) but most of the birds are too darn small (or my lens is lol!) Extra treat, a huge herd of tule elk! Here's one of the great horned owls spotted today. Elk later..
