Snow Crystal(s) of Translucent Folding is a Golden Oldie in ‘origami world’ and I finally found all seven variations, if you include the basic form too then there's eight of them.
I made a kind of systematic view, to show you all the variations.
There is the basic form (on the left in the middle with 3 arrows), which can be altered into 3 'Snow Crystals'.
The 'hexagon-crystal' at the bottom has one variation and the one on the right has three.
It is always a big surprise how a model can change just by adding a few more simple folds. Origami and folding is great fun ;-))
Model: origami Snow Crystal
Design: Kunio Suzuki
Diagrams in:
- Tanteidan Convention Book #4
- or in the book 'Enjoyable Origami to decorate your Living' by Tomoko Fuse
Folded from a hexagon 7cm, 'Anett"-paper
