I folded a tiny tessellation with the classic triangle twist creating a rhombic shape, looking almost like a diamond ;-))
On the right photo I opened the middle and saw a little heart.
Folded from very thin paper 15x15cm.
Grid 1:32

Grid 1:32

Dedicated to a dear friend of mine, who passed away suddenly two months ago. A few days after I had heard the news, I found a beautiful living butterfly in his house, surprisingly because it was wintertime....It was a European Peacock (Aglais io).
That day there was sunshine...... I went outside and it flew away into the blue air.........letting the butterfly go......letting them both go ....

While folding a new origami tessellation, connecting the butterfly-molecule in a bigger grid, I saw a paper-face ;-)). I emphasis the eyes and mouth with small colored round paper.

First phase of the multiplying my origami "Butterfly-molecule". I call it "Duet 1".
On the left you see in the middle the 'normal' version. On the right I changed the sequence of the 'wings'.
When I folded a first time, I used a regular hexagon, but in the end I found that a different shape was nicer. You can see it in the first comment box.
