"As the Crane one thousand years, the Tortoise ten thousand years" is an old Japanese saying describing the symbols of youth and old age (long life), the Tsuru (crane) and Kame (turtle).
This beautiful origami-model is from Kazuo Kobayashi. It's folded from one piece of paper, 25x12,5 cm.

One top view and one side view of the same origami Crane Flower
This model is made with 50 folded cranes,
Flower: 40 red ones and 3 white.
Leaves: 7 green ones in different sizes.
It takes some time, but the result is lovely ;-))
