""Hello…I'm on my way to you and everything is going well"", says Santa Claus and he continues walking the invisible (at least for people) path over land, sea and ice. Final destination: "the human world".
In the sack he is carrying, you see a plush toy bunny, who is also very excited where his new home will be ;-))

For the Macro Mondays theme “Handmade”.
When I saw the theme of this week, I immediately knew what I wanted to do: fold a tiny Santa Claus ;-)) Because this is a very simple model, one can fold it easily so small.
This Santa is made from one piece of red kami-paper 3,75x3,75cm, final size 3,3cm.
I folded the display from a sheet of foil/color paper 7,5x7,5cm, final size 3,7cm.
Happy Macro Monday everyone.

""Did you ever wonder how Santa Claus delivers all those Xmas-presents, when all the doors and windows are locked……?
In the old days they simply used the chimney, without getting dirty…., like this photo is showing.
But nowadays they have developed their magic powers to a next level and can liquefy themselves and also the presents they are carrying! So even a keyhole if already big enough to enter a house.""
Happy Slider Sundays ;-))

"Santa is here! No doubt about it. The whole environment is electrified with Xmas-vibes, so it seems.
Another magical aspect of Santa is, that he can multiply himself in many ways, as you can see in the two photos above. So he can deliver the presents at the same time at very different places.
The Santa on the left is waiting for the other two to arrive. They have a meeting point at the 'gate' where they enter the 'human' world. So if you see more Santas together….there might be such a gate……""
I like origami-Santas a lot and I collect diagrams since years. It started with very simple ones and I decide to make Artist trading cards (or ATCs)*** with these models as a start for my origami-Santa collection. They can be folded very easily in a very small size. If you want have a look at this collection, just click here:
For :
Part one and part two and the third photo is a model with 4 variations When I have an exhibition I place this one in the middle.
These two ATCs are also among them. I selected them because they are also designed Francesco Miglionico, as the last two Santas I showed you.

***Artist trading cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern trading cards baseball cards, or 2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm), small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets.
The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland.
Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals or fiber.
The cards are usually traded or exchanged. When sold, they are usually referred to as art card editions and originals (ACEOs).(Wikipedia)

""Last night, while saying goodby to my last folded origami-Santa, the presumed empty sack suddenly moved. To both our big surprise an origami-crane emerged ;-))""
In Japanese folklore, cranes are said to live a thousand years. Because of this, an origami crane represents a long, healthy life. Cranes are also viewed as symbols of happiness and good luck. According to legend, if one thousand paper cranes are folded, it is said that one's wish will be granted. After the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, the origami crane also became a symbol of peace and nonviolence.
I wish it was possible to give you all a folded origami-crane (origami Tsuru), but I have to do this way.
I want to thank you for your friendship and support throughout the year. Your appreciation and comments are a motivation to go on. I'm also happy I can share the joy of origami with you.
I wish you all a very joyful and happy Xmas or very joyful and happy Holidays with your beloved ones. Enjoy ;-))
