First of all, "Sherlock" was folded by a dear friend of mine, Marijke Zoet, and she gave it to me as a present ;-)) I hope one day she will join us too and that is the reason why I made a photo of this model. Besides that it is a great design!
You can find the diagrams for this origami 'Sherlock Holmes' in the book: ORIGAMI VIP - Carlos González Santamaría

This cartoon-like balancing "Sax on legs" is playing 'Trinkle Tinkle' (song by Thelonious Monk) and it is a funny design by Rikki Donachie.
The Sax On Legs is made from 3 parts, the sax itself is folded from half of A4 paper and the arms and legs from a fourth of A4 paper. It's not completely closed.
Diagrams in BOS magazine #207 (april 2001)

Looking for origami models to fold for Halloween, I came across this abstract torso of a female body, designed by Makato Yamaguchi.
Originally meant to be folded from a 1000 Yen banknote, but I don't have that, .....so I decide to use this paper to make it more look like as it is made out of stone.
Name model : Torso (1000 Yen banknote )
Designed by Makato Yamaguchi
Diagrams in Origami Tanteidan Magazine #112
Folded from a rectangle 1:2. ( in this case 9,1x18,2cm, final height 13cm).

Another, more complex to fold, origami-torso. A beautiful design by Aoki Ryo (it can stand by itself btw). This model reminds me of somebody who is meditating.
I used blue elephant hide-paper, which has also a stone like structure.
Name: origami Torso
Designer: Ryo Aoki
Diagrams in the Tanteidan 15th convention book
I folded it from a square piece of 21cm, final height 12cm.
