Daffodowndilly

She wore her yellow sun-bonnet,
She wore her greenest gown;
She turned to the south wind
And curtsied up and down.
She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbor:
"Winter is dead.”
Poem ― A.A. Milne, When We Were Very Young

Model: origami Daffodil
Design: Yoshihide Momotani
Diagrams in his book 'New Origami Land: Origami Flowers' by Yoshihide Momotani

While folding another of my new pattern of my Block-tessellation serie I used thicker paper and because of that and the density of the pattern this bowl-shape arose ;-)

I found (independently) a variation of the "Wall" of Momotani, and I'm probably not the first one.

Folded from 21x21cm greenish Japanese paper, with some golden en silver dots in it.
I also made a color photo from the outside and the inside of my origami tessellation "bricks", where you can see these dots better.

I used a mirror to make this photo, so I could show you both the patterns as well the roundness of the bowl itself.

The fancy blue/green origami shoes are designed by Yoshihide Momotani and folded each from 1:2 piece of paper. The little origami handbag is a model by Makoto Yamaguchi.

"Imagination has given us the steam engine, the telephone, the taking-machine and the automobile; for these things had to be dreamed of before they came reality."

From a dear friend I could borrow the book 'Origami Vehicles' (by Yoshihide Momomtani) and of course one of the subjects were trains ;-))
Closer examination of the diagrams showed that those trains ( the "Small D51" and the "Big D51" are further developed models of the 'Steam Engine Locomotive', which I showed yesterday (see otherwise the first comment box).
I thought it might be interesting to see that development and that's why I decided to fold all three from the same paper and with the same scale, (also took the photos from a fixed point), so that the differences are more visible.
Here is the result:
- photo bottom left of the 'Steam Engine Locomotive' ( the same model as in the first comment box, but now with folded with different paper)
- photo top right the "Small" D51, both folded from a square double-sided kraft paper24x24cm
- photo on the left shows the "Big" D51 with even more variations. This one is folded from a rectangle (2:3) 24x36 cm
Perhaps unnecessarily to mention, but all models (mostly of what I fold) are folded with just one uncut piece of paper and no use of glue.

Final size small trains: length 13cm, height 5cm, width 3cm
Final size big D51: length 19cm, height 5cm, width 3cm

Have a great start of your weekend!!! ;-))
