Taken at the 38th Annual St. Ignace Car Show, June 2013

The body of this car was built by Mercury Body Co. of Louisville, Kentucky. They were considered the Rolls-Royce of kit cars from 1920-1926 and produced bodies for both Chevrolet & Ford. They were an aftermarket alternative that provided specialty sport models. They started building a two-man Speedster body for the Model T in 1920, and started building bodies for Chevrolet in 1923.
They are very rare today and records show that from 1921-1926 just over 1600 Mercury bodies were produced. This car is the only fully restored Speedster, and only one of four that are know to exist today.
