LINCOLN MOTOR CAR COMPANY – DIVISION OF FORD MOTOR COMPANY – DETROIT, MICHIGAN

“Everything about Lincoln reflects good taste” Company Advertising

This Lincoln Capri remained in the same family since purchased new in 1954. The owner was a person who owned Lincolns for his entire life! Owning a Lincoln had become a family tradition, as the owner’s grandparents owned a set of “his and Hers” 1935 Lincolns.
The Lincoln Capri became famous when one took first place in the Big Stock Car class of the 1954 Carrera Pan Americana Race, which began at the Mexico-Guatemala border and ended five days later. The Lincoln Capri covered 1,908 miles of flat-out racing at an average speed of 92.22 mph over a route that climbed 10,846 feet near Mexico City and extended hundreds of miles over mountains and Plateaus.

GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION – DETROIT, MICHIGAN

TV Westerns—Gunsmoke, Tales of Wells Fargo, Wagon Train and Station Wagons such as this 1957 Buick Estate Wagon were staples of typical 1950s family life. General Motors’ most expensive station wagon for 1957, the Caballero, is especially noteworthy for its full 4-door hardtop pillarless construction.
