A small shell is wedged tight inside the spiraled core of the lager shell. This is the same smooth shell core shown with with the mirrored reflection, above. In addition to these two, I shot this from other viewpoints and angles. I'll probably post more shots from this series later.

This one is particularly fragile and the cracks and hole add to, rather than detract from, it's beauty and interestingness (to appropriate a Flickr term). This shell was on its way to further break-down / ocean smoothing wear & tear and may have ended up like the smooth core, below, had it not washed-up to be picked-up by me. I also shot this from different viewpoints and angles and may post more shots from this series later.
