Yesterday was jazz bassist Christian McBride's birthday, and it reminded me that I still had some old concert photos to transfer from a former, concert photography focused (now canceled) Flickr account.
These shots were taken with my old P&S at Ropeadope Record's "What is Jazz?" Festival at Berklee in April 2006. The concert featured several Ropeadope stars - Bobby Previte, the Chrlie Hunter Trio, DJ Logic, and the Christian McBride Band. What is Jazz? The festival at Berklee answered that question with genre-bending music that mixed and fused jazz, funk, hip hop, blues, gospel, avant rock and world musics.
