Solitary Vireo.

Sparrow sized at 5 to 6 inches long. Olive green above and whit below with dull yellow flanks. Crown and side of head slate or bluish gray with bold white around the eyes.

They inhabit conifgerous and mixed forests.

They range from British Columbia, central interior Canada and Newfoundland south through the Rocky Mountains to the Great Lakes region and southern New England and in the Appalachians to North Carolina. They winter from South Carolina tothe Gulf Coast southward.
