"If your photos aren't good enough, you haven't gotten close enough." It is possibly the most famous and accurate phrase of Frank Capa. This photo and the series I did in the Chandni Chowk market in the old city of Delhi are inspired by that idea. We got on a rickshaw to go through the narrow streets of the market. Everything was hectic and chaotic, at least to our western eyes. And besides, everything happened a few centimeters from the camera. I prepared myself for what was coming by mounting an extreme wide lens (14mm) and setting it to manual with high speed (1/1000) and an aperture of F8. The ISO was the only thing I left on auto (my Nikon Z6's sensor gives amazing results when it comes to low noise, even at very high ISO).
Knowing that I was going to get a super-wide view, I strategically positioned the camera so that I didn't have to look at the lens or the screen. I had to anticipate what was going to happen and frame it with my mind.
