Een van de trappen in hotel De Timmerfabriek in Vlissingen. Het hotel is gevestigd in deze prachtige oude fabriek en veel van de originele elementen zijn bewaard gebleven. Ik ben er nog lang niet uitgekeken....

Vlissingen. I still have so much to show from this lovely holiday. From my room I saw the former Schelde shipyard merged into Damen. In the distance I looked out at the lock, which I also walked over and crossed very stubbornly, because I had to take that special photo. And of course I also had to take a picture of the hotel, crooked, I held my camera in one hand, because with the other I clung to the railing. The way back across the lock was even more difficult than going there, there was no longer any urge for that "one picture". But yes, I wanted to go home.

Vlissingen. Ik heb nog zoveel te laten zien van deze fijne vakantie. Uit mijn kamer zag ik voormalig scheepswerf de Schelde opgegaan in Damen. In de verte keek ik uit op de sluis, waar ik ook heen gelopen ben en heel eigenwijs overheen ging, want ik moest en zou die speciale foto maken. En natuurlijk moest ik ook een foto van het hotel maken, scheef, ik had mijn camera vast met 1 hand, want met de andere klemde ik me vast aan de reling. De terugweg over de sluis ging nog lastiger als heen, er was geen drang meer voor die "ene foto". Maar ja, ik wilde wel naar huis.

When I was on the road for my redo for Flickr Fridy, I cycled on to Broekerhaven. A place that could have used too. The overhaul, with which boats from a lower-lying polder are transferred to the higher waters of the harbor.

Toen ik op pad was voor mijn redo voor Flickr Fridy, ben ik even doorgefietst naar Broekerhaven. Een plaats die ook ook had kunnen gebruiken. De overhaal, waarmee bootjes uit lager gelegen polder worden overgezet naar het hoger gelegen water van de haven.

I love taking pictures in the car. It's a gamble, aim and shoot and see at home what the result is. It is often very surprising.

Ik hou ervan om foto's te maken in de auto. Het is een gok, mikken en schieten en thuis kijken wat het resultaat is. Het is vaak heel verrassend.
