We found this place by accident. It was raining, but the view and magic of the area was too much and we hiked anyway.

We had to drive about 4 miles of gravel roads, switch backs and all.

Predominate confer is Sitka spruce. There is a smattering of yellow cedar here.

Taken on the south end of Mitkof Island, Alaska.

This lupine is abundant throughout coastal Alaska, at least at and south of Homer.
