Camera flash provided a very subtle bit of foreground lighting. One of my personal favorites.

Used flash to fill in the foreground, but it was a bit too bright and harsh, so I toned it down with a wide, elliptically shaped radial filter in Lightroom. The filter increased color temperature, reduced highlights, and reduced exposure. I adjusted the feathering on the filter to match, as much as possible, the gradual rolloff in flash intensity with increased distance.
