This was the main shot from the other day in the cemetery with Bianca. It wasn't how I'd originally intended, but when I saw the light like this behind her, I knew I had to go with this shot. This final product is kind of a "miracle photo". Not in the sense that it's outstanding or anything, but rather the circumstances through which it was created. It was made through several photos from mismatching angles and heights and elements that shouldn't have worked together, but fit perfectly.
Bianca is such a great model and obviously super gorgeous. She was one of those girls who I'd sit and stare at in class, wishing I could shoot (I'm such a creep, haha), and we'd always talked about doing a shoot but hadn't gotten around to it until now. I definitely plan on working with her again. And of course, thanks to Bryndahl and Lauren for being awesome assistants.
On an unrelated note, I'm flying to California next month around Thanksgiving to visit Brian Oldham. We were wondering if anyone in the Los Angeles area might want to meet up and shoot.. maybe have an casual kind of meetup on the beach for an afternoon?
OH! And I also had my first gallery showing this weekend in Paris! Five of my photographs were on display at the Chic Art Fair . I wish I could have been there to experience it in person, but nonetheless, I'm still thrilled about it. It is open through tomorrow, so if any of you are around Paris and are able to make it, let me know how it is! (And maybe snap some photos for me? ;D)
