My mum had the most beautiful blue eyes. They were huge. And the most beautiful vibrant blue you've ever seen. I used to tell her they looked like they'd been photoshopped but in person because they were so bright. It was the first thing people always said to me about her.

In truth, mine aren't as pretty. They're a duller shade of blue and they aren't anywhere near as bright as hers. Despite this, every now and then I see a photo that reminds me of her eyes and this one does that for me. It won't mean the same to everyone else that looks at it but to me, when I look at this pic, I just see Mum's eyes. And I love it for that.

A new shoot with this fabulous team is next month and I'm so excited. Celebrating the end of my first semester with a photoshoot with two of my absolute favourite creatives - the very same team as this shoot, actually <3

Uni finishes up for me for 2024 in the first week of December. It's been chaotic and busy and I have barely had one night free since the Term started but it's also been so incredibly rewarding. I'm learning a lot, I'm keeping my mind active (this especially helps A LOT when you're grieving) and I'm gaining confidence in myself.

It's so easy to stay where you are when you're comfortable but the feeling you get from pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone remains one of the best natural highs I've ever known. The scariest things I've ever done have also been some of the most rewarding.
