At Sparkle, there's no need to blend in; I'm proud to be seen! For the glam dinner I dressed in some pretty underthings, a short tight dress and four inch heels. Perhaps it was restrictive for walking to the restaurant, but the height and tightness puts a definite wiggle in my step. I do hope I was noticed and appreciated by the population.

Sparkle begins for me with a glamorous dinner with many friends then out to various bars for drinks, music and enjoying the buzz that grows as Sparkle assembles. In all the excitement, t's too easy to forget that my day started early with a long journey. Far too soon, I have to return to my hotel, thankful that there's a wall to prop me up.

It was Friday night at Sparkle and Amanda Prosser had arranged a lovely reunion dinner. I met some of the girls a year ago, some I had seen during the year and some I was introduced to for the first time here. It was a fabulous evening and I had great fun with friends old and new.

Saturday afternoon of Sparkle weekend was a glorious day and some of us took this wonderful opportunity to visit the races at Haydock Park. Most ladies enjoyed the chance to dress glamorously for the occasion, none more so than my lovely friend Pamela and I.

It was a wonderful first night at Sparkle! The evening was very pleasantly warm so no jacket was needed as I shimmied along the street in a tight dress and high heels to Jamie's Restaurant, where a lovely group of ladies enjoyed dinner.
Afterwards we went over to the famous Canal Street for drinks and discovered Jordan Gray performing. What a fabulous voice!
