At Sparkle there's not much time to post pics - too many friends to catch up with, too many activities, too many stalls offering oportunities. One of these vendors persuaded me, without much dofficulty, to try changing my hair colour. So here I am, blonde! You should expect a lot more of this soon.

The fun at Sparkle is reuniting with old friends and making new ones. I was really looking forward to seeing Karen again in person and she is brilliant at arranging the details of where we'll go. It was delightful to meet Clarissa for the first time. I'm in awe of her nails!

Sparkle Saturday is a big day, but starts slowly so while it got going my friends and I took a tram to Media City UK and toured the Lowry Gallery, which is in a lovely area of renovated docklands.

Have you ever wondered about a new hair colour? I have tried blonde before but it never seemed quite right for me.

One of the wonderful things about Sparkle is that it lets me meet specialists I'd never normally see. On Saturday afternoon the wig experts found a blonde style that I think suits me. I'm going to wear it out on Saturday night and find out if anybody recognises me.
