Sparkle Saturday is a big day, but starts slowly so while it got going my friends and I took a tram to Media City UK and toured the Lowry Gallery, which is in a lovely area of renovated docklands.

The fun at Sparkle is reuniting with old friends and making new ones. I was really looking forward to seeing Karen again in person and she is brilliant at arranging the details of where we'll go. It was delightful to meet Clarissa for the first time. I'm in awe of her nails!

Feeling very glamorous with my new hair style, I matched it with my shortest, sparkliest, strappiest dress and high heels. It's Saturday night and I'm going out to be noticed!

After dinner with Karen, Nicky and the rest of the girls, we all went to Canal St for drinks. It was busy, of course, and we had to share a table with a straight guy on his own. He wasn't expecting anything like us and found it hard to believe what we were doing, but he seemed impressed. By the look in his eyes I could tell he enjoyed meeting us enormously.
