They say every cloud has a silver lining and that has been true for me throughout the awful pandemic. Travel restrictions and working from home mean my family has returned to the home and we are together as never before. Now we are all based at home, there is almost always someone with me, which is lovely. A silver lining indeed!

Because I am seldom alone all day, as before, there are very few chances to take pics as Emma so I have little to show you. That is the cloud within the silver lining.

Life has been very good to me this year, though it has meant I can wear a skirt almost never. Of course this is frustrating and I have coped by building a wall in my mind to shut off such feelings. So I have not been posting pics and not even logging on to my emails, for fear of re-awakening the desire.

It worked, mostly. Then some little thing happened to start me off again and my mental barrier collapsed. The wall has broken and I am absolutely delighted!

A change of season means we have to go shopping and today was a great day for it. As soon as I posted new pics here, I was out shopping again and this dress cried out "take me!" It's a gorgeous, cool, summer dress in red with pink spots.

Straight home for a try on and the verdict is: keep it!
