Not the best in terms of image quality, nevertheless I love the vibe of this photo!

Block Island is south of mainland Rhode Island, accessible only by ferries and boats.

Its 1800s red-brick Southeast Lighthouse sits atop the dramatic clay cliffs of Mohegan Bluffs, with a rocky beach below. Sandy beaches include popular Crescent Beach, on the east coast.

The island’s northern tip features North Lighthouse, built in 1867, and Sachem Pond, home to gulls and swallows. Migratory songbirds visit the Block Island National Wildlife Refuge.

I LOVE lighthouses! They are so fascinating, thanks to the many ghost/horror stories I heard (growing up) that took place in them.

Built in 1875, this lighthouse has a 52-foot brick and granite tower, and has been named a National Historic Landmark. A big boulder close to the Mohegan Bluffs marks its original location; it was moved 300 feet inland in 1993 due to the erosion of its original perch.

Thought I should give the sun a break! :-)

Here's a photo taken in 2016 when we still had our Class B RV, hence we were able to travel freely to wherever our hearts desired. We stealthy boondocked in the Bar Harbor hospital parking lot for 3 nights. It was a fun trip, we did every hike in the park that had a moderate rating.

I'm back from a road trip; I hope everyone had a good week and a great one to come! 😊

This photo was from the first evening that we spent in Bar Harbor, Maine. It was a foggy and thick cloudy day, there wasn't much color with the sunset. I felt sorry for all the tourists who booked the evening/night boat tours. Well, we couldn't control the weather, but we can enjoy the moment!

We woke up super early the next morning to watch the sunrise but it was a let down - the clouds were even thicker so no sun or colors to be seen.😩

BUT, we were compensated with an epic sunset the next evening, which I had posted prevously in this post.😜

Although we drove all the way up to Prince Edward Island, Canada, we didn't get to see many places. It was a family visiting trip, plus we encountered a few rainy/stormy days. (No loss as we had visited this beautiful island in the past.)

Being right by the ocean, surprisingly the sunrise was not that nice. Based on my observation, the sky got so bright way before sunrise approached (30 minutes). It seemed like there's no transition period between dark and brightness, very different from Clear Lake's early morning sky.

However, we were lucky to witness three evenings with epic sky and afterglow!👍

As you know I like to spread out my photos so no one gets bored seeing similar scenery/genre. I'll be taking the same approach with these recent trip photos. I hope you will enjoy them!
