We were eating an early dinner in a Mexican restaurant, fueling up before going out to chase another round of golden light. Toward the end of my meal, I looked up and...

What did I see? Golden sunlight filtering in from the window blinds - beautiful lights and shadows and texture!

What did I do? Contemplating whether I should capture this image or let it be, as it's kinda weird to take photos inside the restaurant.

What did I do next? Went to the car and returned with the camera.

What did the waitresses do? Stared at me like I was a crazy woman, they even whispered a few words to each other!

Usually I was very thin-skinned, but not when I was presented with such a beautiful scene!!!

LOL, that patron's also staring at me! (I didn't even know he was there.)

What's more embarrassing was that a new patron was seated in the table next to where I stood (to my right) while I was taking the photo and I didn't even notice him. I was sitting on his seat earlier (before he got there) while working on the exposure settings.

Hubby was so afraid that I would sit on him without looking and so he called out to me!!!

I think I might have if Hubby didn't!!!!

I would like to dedicate this photo to my dear Flickr friend, Vincent Buuron , it was through his photos that opened my eyes and made me appreciate the beauty of lights and shadows even more so!
