3 photos of a Eurasian Blackcap female that I believe is the subspecies - Sylvia atricapilla heinekin that I understand is common on Madeira island. taken on 3rd February. I was amazed to see it fly onto the Bird of paradise flower & I assume sip nectar from the flower, it made my day. Never seen any bird on such a colourful perch.
Just back from 13 days away & will try to catch up this week.
