One from my archives, taken on 9th June 2009. For something to do this winter I am starting a new album of "My Favorite Bird Photos" mainly for my own interest but anyone is welcome to view, I know not many on Flickr have time to view albums. I had a hard job choosing the lead photo but it came down to this or a Penguin photo. Like this because it is my hat & was taken by just pointing the camera at my hat when held @ arms length before I had a camera with swivel screen. The aim will be to choose just one photo of each species (M&F if significant). Give something to do over the winter if I cannot get out, miserable again today! Farne Islands are magical place in June & a must visit place for anyone interested in birds
