We arranged two day's @ the Severn Valley Railway on 23rd/24th "Pacific Power w/e" (Flying Scotsman & Tornado) to celebrate the fact we met 60years ago (24th) on a "Blind Date" on Birmingham New street railway station. Quite remarkable as just 7 days later we waved goodbye on the same station & I sailed away to the Antarctic on a 7 month trip when letters took 4-6 weeks to get through!
We dashed up from Norfolk on Friday in time to get the 10.10am normal steam train to Bridgnorth. In this short video we are leaving Kidderminster station as the "Brand New (2008)" A1 class No 60163 Tornado pulls in to the other platform. I have lot's more photos & video's from the 2 days so will be making an album, different from to my usual nature orientated ones

Trains on the SVR were hauled tender first from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth & normal direction back to Kidderminster. Meant that unless you were very early in morning there were not many chances for a front first photo on the track

Almost a "Brand New" steam engine. Moved in steam for 1st time in August 2008. The culmination of 18 years work to build her.
