蛇の木 The Serpent Tree.
This is the famous maple tree at the Portland Japanese garden. It's an older photo I recently got around to processing. I never intended to post because so many have a photo of it. However, after revisiting the photo I think the light and atmosphere are unique enough to share - I haven't seen a shot anything like it, and I really like it now.

A quick break from my Cali road-trip. I shot this a couple of days ago on the Oregon coast. Many fall into the trap that you cannot make a good landscape other than at "magic hour." I shot this in the middle of the day. Black and white works better at times other than magic hour, so go do it! :)
