The names and dates of Herschel and Planck are added to the "Launch Wall", a listing of all missions controlled from ESOC, now nearing 60.
Over 120 members of the extended Mission Control Team for Herschel and Planck gathered in the Main Control Room at ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany, on 15 May 2009, to witness the addition of the mission names to the wall.
