We were invited to an early Oktoberfest party at friend's home in the hills of Los Gatos, California. They have a big house and a backyard surrounded with tall redwood trees. I took this shot of the settling sun through the redwood trees with the vintage Dream Lens, which produces interesting lens flares.

I processed a photographic and a balanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Earlier this year I attended a cosplay event in Stockton, located in the California Central Valley. On the way back to the San Francisco Bay Area I made a detour to the hills near Livermore. They are packed with wind turbines. In photography often less is more, here just two wind turbines. I chose symmetry for the composition, but also a disruption in the symmetry, which I think adds some dynamics.
