Back in the beginning of January I posted a photo of this little one with the teeth alignment issues. This meant he wouldn't be able to eat properly as their teeth need to grind down naturally. I tried to live trap him for over a month but he would not go in the trap. I started to try to catch him in a net as he grew weaker and after about a week I was finally able to catch him. We took him to Sandy Pines Wildlife Rehabilitation with a slight hope of saving him but if not to put him out of his misery. They did some x-rays and unfortunately he had a broken jaw which is why his teeth were so messed up and was in pain. It was decided by the good folks at Sandy Pines to put him down. This is not the outcome I had hoped for but he's no longer in pain and dying a slow death of starvation. He became my Lil Peanut in the weeks of trying to catch him. Broke my heart to let him go.
