Music Inspiration: Johnny Cash "Ain't No Grave"
In Lewis Center, Ohio, soil erosion exposed caskets on the eastern bank of Alum Creek, near the Alum Creek Dam. The Army Corps of Engineers was thought to have moved the caskets from what was once Cheshire Cemetery to a location two miles north before creating Alum Creek Lake.
The idea that the Army Corps of Engineers was thought to have moved a cemetery before creating a reservoir occurred at Lake Lanier in Georgia as well. Tombstones have actually been discovered at the bottom of the lake from one of the twenty cemeteries that were supposed to have been relocated before the lake's creation.
Be wary what lurks beneath.
