LA CATTEDRALE DI SANTA MARIA ASSUNTA
La Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, duomo di Urbino, è un’imponente struttura a due passi dal Palazzo Ducale, nel cuore del centro storico cittadino.
L’edificio originario fu eretto nell’XI secolo, ma nella seconda metà del ‘400, per volere di Federico da Montefeltro, la cattedrale fu completa ricostruita secondo canoni rinascimentali, seguendo un progetto attribuito al senese Francesco di Giorgio Martini, architetto molto vicino al duca di Urbino e alla sua corte.

THE CATHEDRAL OF SANTA MARIA ASSUNTA
The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the cathedral of Urbino, is an imposing structure a stone's throw from the Palazzo Ducale, in the heart of the city's historic center.
The original building was erected in the 11th century, but in the second half of the 15th century, at the behest of Federico da Montefeltro, the cathedral was completely rebuilt according to Renaissance canons, following a project attributed to the Sienese Francesco di Giorgio Martini, an architect very close to the Duke of Urbino and his court.

Pendant que je savourais chaque instant passé auprès du beau Harfang des neiges une partie d'un autre oiseau de proie se glissa dans mon viseur. Celui-ci passa très vite et, au début, je cru percevoir une buse. En levant les yeux vers le ciel je restai stupéfaite en voyant un Hibou des marais chassant activement dans le champs. Une rencontre inattendue et quelle belle surprise. C'était la première fois que j'observais ce merveilleux hibou en pleine chasse.
While I was enjoying every moment spent with the beautiful Snowy Owl, part of another bird of prey slipped into my viewfinder. It passed very quickly and, at first, I thought I saw a Hawk. Looking up into the sky I was amazed to see a Short-eared Owl actively hunting in the field. An unexpected encounter and what a lovely surprise. It was the first time I observed this wonderful owl hunting.
