My father was a market gardener and this foto was probably staged to display a great harvest of melons. He loved cats, so of course they should be in the picture too. :)

My elder brother Elon Hansen feeding a tabby cat. Our parents were "cat people", so contrary to many other farms at that time, our cats were always fed and allowed into the house.
