Seva Mandal is an organisation founded by certain persons from Gowd Saraswat Brahmin community from the region of South Kanara, Karnataka. These and other fellow migrants are widely dispersed along the length and breadth of the country. Predominantly however the community is settled in Mumbai. Due to availability of business opportunities in this city, people from the Samaj have prospered. As a mark of respect to this city of Mumbai, we feel that the debt of this City has to be repaid. We have conceptualised an Educational project which shall take care of educational needs of the masses of this city. Land for this project has already been earmarked in outskirts of Mumbai city. The details are being worked out and shall be displayed on this site in due course.
Devotees of the Trust come from predominantly South Kanara region of Karnataka, India. The devotees are disciples of Sri Kashi Math Samsthan,. The Math is headed by Mathadhipathi His Holiness Srimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji who leads a celibate life. Seva Mandal funcrtions under the vision and guidance of H H Swamiji. HH Swamiji is well versed in Hindu Vedic scriptures and is a Sanskrit Scholar. He has devoted his entire life for the Samaj. It is during his reign that numerous Maths and Temples have been established across the Indian subcontinent. Sri Kashi Math centres are now located in various places like Badrinath, Haridwar, Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Mangalore, Bangalore etc.
