Farzan is a child of mixed parentage , his father is a Parsi and his mother is a Christian.
Farzans grandmother Katie was a junior artiste in Bollywood now retired due to ill health.
Farzan wanted to keep the Ganpati at his house, but his mother being a non vegetarian, refused., besides they did not know the formalities of keeping the Ganesha at home.
Farzan was insistent and fell sick, with high fever that would not go, he just wanted Lord Ganesha and nothing else, he had saved his pocket money to buy the Lords statue.
Seeing his deteriorating condition , his father who does not miss his evening peg, gave in and so the Lord entered Farzaans house.
Farzzans mom has gone vegetarian.
His fathr will abstain from drinks till the Ganpati is immersed after 5dayys.

I heard the Arti going on at his house so I stepped in and shot these pictures.
The Hindus from the neighbourhood first do the arti at Farzans house than return to complete the one at their house.

Farzan has done the decoration of the Ganpati himself,he has not fully recovered from his viral fever , he can barely walk dueto the weakness I am told.. but takes active part in the arti.. though not moving from the bed ..

This is Farzans story of the love of Lord Ganesha.

I told his mother that everybody visits Lord Ganesha at the various Pandals , but here the Lord has entered a boys house through a boys heart.
What greater miracle can there be ..
This is the spirit of Mee Mumbaikar, no caste color or creed, the Lord just does not belong to the Hindus he belongs to the universe of Humanity.

And I am lucky as a Muslim I poetically read the metaphor in the burning eyes of a sick child..
I saw Lord Ganesha in his eyes.
And now I am crying.
