I was invited to shoot Kamakhya Ambubachi mela by my French photographer friend Laurent Salesse but at the last moment his trip got cancelled I had booked my train ticket 2016 so I reached Kamakhya my first trip lived at an ashram of a supreme tantric near the Kamakhya cremarorium befriended Aghori Guru Manikandan and thus began my documentary of the Aghoris Juna Akhara Naga Sadhus Tantrics and Hijra shamans .
I made 4 trips I am the only Muslim documenting the Aghoris at Kamakhya .
This year I may not be able to go because of my heart problem.
But one never knows ...
Kamakhya is a beautiful place and I am lucky I have some good friends among the Pandas and the priestly class .
I am closr to a tantric Dhuniwale Baba .
And to Gayatri Devi Maha Mandleshwar Kinnar Akhara Kamakhya .

I shot this accidentally I had come for some work at Parel and these are ward guardians of cancer patient who is admitted to Tata Cancer hospital .
They may be from outstation so they obviously cannot afford a hotel and are living on the pavements .
They are provided food help by a few good people and there are a lot of good samaritans .
But these poor people have a tough time during the rains .
The Sufi dargah of Ismail Shah Baba also at Parel offers food accomodation to cancer patients and their wards at Rs 50 per day with breakfast lunch dinner ..dormitory style .
But this service at the Holy Sufi Shrine is only for Tata cancer patients .
I interviewed the cancer patients wards on the pavement and even at the Dargah premises .
It is heartbreaking .
