Caught on a 7 weight fly rod. I thought he was out of his mind to even try. I was wrong. Fish took large streamer after 5 minutes of refusals. Fish released instantly after quick photo.

I never saw Northern pike exhibit such social behaviour. It seems there is no such thing as "too close for comfort".
