E26057 heads west out of Penistone with the 16.02 to Manchester on Saturday 22nd November 1969.
In just a few weeks time, the 16.02 to Manchester would just be a memory when passenger services ended on 5th January 1970. This would be the first of many nails in the Woodhead route coffin, culminating in the routes closure on 18th July 1981.
